Nigeria’s first sex fair just came to a close in Lagos….. With majority still prudish about public display of erotic themes, I was uncertain of what to expect, almost nervous until a provocatively-skimpy-dressed-bunny-eared-girl dispelled all fears I had as she ushered me to a market-like hall with the Salt ‘n’ Pepa hit song “Let’s Talk About Sex” blaring in the background. Exhibits included sex toys, lubricants, dolls, supplements, herbal enhancement drugs, lingerie, costumes, shoes, fragrances, DVDs and adult publications, erotic massage sessions, makeover services, & confectioneries. Iya Osogbo ‘s stand was particularly popular. Her various native concoction cocktail admittedly left me stupefied at the end of the day. I can’t remember whether It was the “Duro Soke” or Opa Eyin” that made me eventually hyper. As I impatiently queued up for an Erotic massage therapy session with sexy Tiwa, I glanced over at His & Hers stands and noticed the typically shy manner guys approached the stand. MC Tall continously entertained with his lewd jokes. I was particularly struck by the exquisite & classy lingerie @ Body Essentials. While waiting for the exotic dance, I watched as the ladies at Oeuvre Makeover and Morola’s stand skilfully brushed up customers. Nlkky’s Boutique, Fab Fitz and Foot Note Shoe Shop had sexy heels to go with the costumes at Chuwee & Plummy if you’re so inclined. And if you’re looking to spice things up, there were sex games at Esho a La Mode to keep your relationship fresh. While I didn’t get a pedicure at Cosy Feet, l did pick up a pedicure kit for my friend who has the ugliest feet in the world. (You know yourself:) It was at this point I received a call from” sexy sally.” I was promised earlier she would turn me on in 3 minutes. Expectantly, l reached for my phone as I slipped out of the room. Did she turn me on in 3 minutes? …No, she didn’t. Given more time, perhaps. But then again, I’m a hard person to tease ; ) There were synthetic dolls, dildos and whetever you need to float your proverbial boat, you’d find at His & Hers. I think if girls didn’t have mood swings, that monthly “time of the month” and weren’t so confusingly insatiable at the same time, guys wouldn’t resort to synthetic dolls. Also girls wouldn’t have a lifetime supply of batteries to power up their dildos if guys weren’t bums in bed. Why do you think people buy sex toys? The exhibition altogether was a successful one. There were interesting products on display; friendly services, engaging music and dance performances with a surprising turn up of participants.
